Now that we have moved to .gov, the Board will continue to discuss how the town website meets the needs of our constituents and the wider public. Here is your chance to tell us what you think. A brief, open-ended survey (1 question) is here.

The NY Governor has dictated that all municipal websites change to use the .GOV domain. Our website (that you are reading right now) uses the .NET domain (macedontown.net).

Over the next few days, the switch will occur, where visitors here will automatically be redirected to the .gov site. When this happens, please update any bookmarks you have, because at some point in Q1 of 2026, this .net site will disappear and the redirect will disappear along with it.

The new .gov site isn't substantially different from this site, but some appearances have been improved, and it responds better on mobile devices. There are some new pages which are still \\"under construction\\", but this switchover will force us to address those pages sooner rather than later.

Note that email addresses for town employees will also be changing, soon after the new site is up.

The application window is now open for businesses within the Macedon NY Forward Downtown target area to apply for funds that have been designated by NYS for the \"Small Project Fund\"

The Town is holding a public informational meeting on Thursday November 20th at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall to review the eligibility and process for applicants.

The application deadline is February 2nd, 2026 at 4 pm.

WALWORTH FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1
MONTHLY AND OPEN MEETING SCHEDULE


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the regular monthly meetings of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Walworth Fire District No. 1 for the 2025 calendar year will take place on the second Thursday of each month. The only exception being that the monthly business meeting in July will be held on the third Thursday, July 17, 2025. All such meetings will take place at the Walworth Fire Hall located at 2178 Church Street, Walworth and will commence at 7:00 p.m.

NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Walworth Fire District No. 1 will be holding an additional open meeting on the fourth Thursday of each month for the 2025 calendar year. All such meetings will take place at the Walworth Fire Hall located at 2178 Church Street, Walworth and will commence at 7:00 p.m.

Scheduling of all special meetings will occur at the discretion of the Chairperson of the Board of Fire Commissioners.
